Part of the RCM's "Baby Animals" coloured circulation series, this quarter was among the first Canadian coins designed specifically to reach children as collectors. The robin was the fourth release in that run, issued in 2013 alongside aggressive retail distribution through grocery and pharmacy chains — an intentional departure from traditional numismatic channels meant to pull new, younger buyers into the hobby.
