Obverse description The Seychelles national coat of arms occupies the central field, rendered in fine detail with supporters, shield, and crest. The Latin motto FINIS · CORONAT · OPVS · appears as part of the legend along the periphery, flanked by the inscription REPUBLIC OF SEYCHELLES and the date 2000. The South African Mint privy mark, an M within an oval, appears to the left of the coat of arms. The legend is inscribed in upright Latin lettering around the upper and lower rim.

Reverse description A Black Parrot (Coracopsis barklyi), the national bird of Seychelles, is depicted perched on a branch facing right, rendered with finely engraved feather detail covering the wings, breast, and tail. The denomination numeral 25 appears prominently in the right-center field, with the word CENTS inscribed in bold capitals immediately below. A beaded border runs along the inner rim of the coin.
