| Additional information |
Andorra began issuing its own coinage only in 2014 for general circulation, having relied on French francs and Spanish pesetas — and later euros — as de facto currency for most of its modern history. This 2013 bullion issue precedes that milestone, produced under the authority of the Co-Princes during a period when Andorra's numismatic output was largely targeted at collectors rather than domestic commerce.
