Valdelinares is a small mountain village in the province of Teruel, Aragon — one of dozens of tiny Spanish municipalities that issued their own fractional emergency currency during the Civil War after the Republic's coinage disappeared from circulation almost entirely by 1936. These local vales were produced without any central oversight, often handwritten or rubber-stamped on whatever card or paper stock was available, and were valid only within the issuing community itself.

The Consejo Municipal designation reflects the Republican administrative structure imposed after July 1936, replacing the pre-war ayuntamiento. Valdelinares had a population of a few hundred at most; its scrip was never intended to travel far.
