El Guijo is a small municipality in the province of Córdoba, Andalusia, and like hundreds of similar towns across Republican Spain, its municipal council issued emergency fractional currency during the Civil War after metallic coinage effectively vanished from circulation. The Consejo Municipal issues of this period were purely local instruments — they rarely traveled beyond the village that printed them, and most were redeemed or simply discarded once the war ended.
The Garicano Monfort reference 752-B implies a variant distinction, likely a stamp color or text difference from the 752-A type. Both are scarce by the nature of their origin.
