Domingo Pérez is a small municipality in the province of Granada, and like hundreds of Spanish towns, it issued its own fractional emergency paper during the Civil War when coins vanished from circulation almost overnight after July 1936. These local municipal issues — cartones, as they were commonly called — were produced under no central mandate, with wildly varying quality, and many were printed or handwritten by whoever the local council could find. The Consejo Municipal issues from villages of this size were often produced in tiny quantities, used briefly, and discarded.
The Gari Monerris reference number is unassigned, which typically indicates either late documentation or extreme rarity at the time of cataloguing.
