| Obverse description | Central field dominated by an intricately rendered six-pointed star (Seal of Solomon) composed of two overlapping triangles, richly ornamented with arabesques and geometric foliate motifs in the Moroccan decorative tradition. A central round hole pierces the design. The legend EMPIRE CHERIFIEN arcs across the upper periphery in Latin characters, while the Arabic inscription الدولة المغربية (al-Dawla al-Maghribiyya) appears along the lower periphery, both separated by decorative scroll elements. The overall design reflects the Franco-Moroccan artistic synthesis characteristic of the Cherifian protectorate coinage. |
