| Obverse description | Plain cream paper note of typeset letterpress construction, entirely without vignette or ornamental underprint. The issuing authority 'VILLE DE SPA' is set in bold capitals at the top centre, below which the date '30-1-15' appears, followed by the denomination '25 Cmes' at left and the redemption clause in French at right, stating payment by the municipal treasury upon restoration of normal conditions. Three manuscript signatures appear in the lower portion beneath the role designations Le Receveur, Le Secrétaire, and Le Bourgmestre, with the printer's imprint at the foot; a large red diagonal 'ANNULÉ' cancellation overstamp covers the face. |
