Obverse description The crowned royal cypher of King Leopold II, consisting of an interlaced double-L monogram surmounted by the Belgian royal crown, occupies the center of the field, flanked by the central perforation. The circular legend in French reads ROYAUME DE BELGIQUE, denoting the Kingdom of Belgium, and runs along the periphery within a beaded border. Reverse description The reverse is dominated by the large denomination numeral '25' to the right of the central circular hole, with the abbreviated denomination 'CES' (Centimes) inscribed below in bold relief. An elegantly rendered olive branch with detailed foliage and berries sweeps across the left side of the field and around the lower portion of the central hole, serving as the principal decorative element. The engraver's signature A. MICHAUX appears in small letters along the lower exergue. The entire design is enclosed within a finely executed beaded border.
