Obverse description The entire field is occupied by Arabic inscriptions arranged in horizontal bands around a central round hole, all enclosed within a beaded border. The uppermost legend names the ruler Ahmad Muddat Bey of Tunisia, while the central register flanking the hole bears the denomination 25 Centimes in Eastern Arabic numerals. The Hijri date 1350 appears in the lower register in large Eastern Arabic numerals. The design is executed in bold, raised calligraphic script with no figural elements, consistent with Islamic numismatic tradition.
