| Obverse description | Central field features the Panamanian coat of arms, depicting a quartered shield with crossed swords and rifle in the upper left, tools in the upper right, a landscape with the Panama Canal in the center, and a cornucopia and eagle in the lower quarters. A harpy eagle with outstretched wings surmounts the shield, flanked by national flags, with a scroll inscribed PRO MUNDI BENEFICIO across the eagle's breast. Nine five-pointed stars arc above the coat of arms in the upper field. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE PANAMA runs along the upper rim, and the date 2005 appears in the exergue. |
