| Reverse description | A full-length allegorical figure of Liberty stands facing, draped in classical robes, holding in her right hand a staff surmounted by a flag bearing five stars and the word 'UNION.' Her left arm rests upon a column entwined with a constitutional scroll. Tridents flank the composition on either side, with the letters 'P' and 'A' at their bases. The legend 'CENTRO AMERICA' appears at the top, with further inscriptions commemorating the dates of Central American independence (15 DE SETIEMBRE DE 1821) and a significant political event (27 DE AGOSTO DE 1876), along with the motto 'CONSTITUCION PAZ, PROGRESO Y LIBERTAD' distributed around the field. |
