| Reverse description | A full-length standing figure of Liberty occupies the central field, facing slightly left, holding a flag staff bearing five stars and the word UNION in her raised right hand, while her left arm rests upon a fasces-style column inscribed CONSTITUCION. Trident symbols flank her at either side, with the mint initials P and A positioned respectively to her left and right. The legend CENTRO AMERICA arcs along the upper periphery, while PAZ, PROGRESO Y LIBERTAD appears along the lower border. Two dates commemorating Central American independence (15 DE SETIEMBRE DE 1821) and a later constitutional event (27 DE AGOSTO DE 1876) are inscribed within the field. |
