| Obverse description | The Guatemalan national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a quetzal bird perched atop a scroll inscribed with the independence date legend, flanked by two crossed rifles and two crossed swords tied with a laurel wreath at the base. The arms are framed by branches of laurel and oak. In the lower exergue, the silver fineness '0835', assayer initial 'E', and the year of issue are engraved. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. |
