Obverse description Purely epigraphic type bearing no figural imagery. The field displays the Latin legend IMP AVG TR POT arranged in two lines across the flan, referencing Augustus as Imperator and holder of tribunician power. The lettering is rendered in bold, somewhat irregularly spaced capitals characteristic of provincial hammered bronze coinage. The flan is notably broad and flat, with an irregular edge and a heavily worn, striated surface. A partial border element is visible at the lower margin of the field.
