| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Rwanda is depicted at centre within a circular field, featuring a knotted ring enclosing a shield flanked by vegetation and a sun above, with a traditional basket motif at the base. The legend BANKI NKURU Y'U RWANDA arcs along the upper periphery, while REPUBLIKA Y'U RWANDA and the motto UBUMWE-UMURIMO-GUKUNDA-IGIHUGU appear in smaller lettering around the arms.
