| Obverse description | Green note with a fine guilloche underprint framing the central design. The large numeral "25" is set at centre within an ornate vignette, flanked on either side by intaglio representations of ancient Greek coins — the left bearing a male portrait and the right an animal motif. The bank title "ΤΡΑΠΕΖΑ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ" is inscribed at top, with the denomination in words "ΕΙΚΟΣΙ ΠΕΝΤΕ ΕΚΑΤΟΜΜΥΡΙΑ" below the central numeral, and two facsimile signatures at the foot alongside the payment clause. |

A large lightly-printed "25" guilloche watermark-style figure occupies the central field, overlaid by the bold inscription "ΕΚΑΤΟΜΜΥΡΙΑ" in the centre. "ΤΡΑΠΕΖΑ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ" appears at the top and "ΕΚΔΟΣΙΣ ΠΡΩΤΗ" in a cartouche at the foot. |
