Obverse description Brown letterpress apólice on laid paper, issued by the Real Erário, with a vignette at top centre of a youthful helmeted warrior alongside a lion within a decorative frame. An embossed Portuguese royal arms impression appears at upper right, and a red starburst overprint bearing the crowned legend 'D. PEDRO IV - 1826' is applied over the original P#19 text body. The note carries manuscript serial and date notations consistent with early nineteenth-century Portuguese treasury practice.
