| Obverse description | Central device depicts the national coat of arms of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, featuring a leopard head facing forward flanked by a spear and an elephant tusk, set upon a plinth bearing the legend PAIX. The motto JUSTICE TRAVAIL appears on ribbons to either side of the central device. The country name REPUBLIQUE DEMOCRATIQUE DU CONGO arcs along the upper periphery in Latin script, while the denomination 240 FRANCS is inscribed along the lower periphery. The design is rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished proof field, with a beaded inner border framing the entire composition. |
