Obverse description Bare, laureate-free effigy of King Frederik V facing right, rendered in high relief with flowing, elaborately curled long wig typical of mid-18th century Baroque portraiture. The truncation of the bust is unadorned, and the king's strong profile features a prominent nose and well-defined jaw. The peripheral legend is separated from the field by a toothed or milled border running along the coin's rim. The circular legend reads FRIDERIC • V • D • G • DAN • NOR • V • G • REX •, proclaiming Frederik V by the grace of God King of Denmark, Norway, the Wends and the Goths.
