| Obverse description | Right-facing armored bust of King Frederik V, rendered in fine baroque style with elaborate curled wig falling to the shoulders and ornate armor at the truncation. The king's effigy occupies the majority of the field, with strong relief and detailed engraving on the cuirass and lace cravat visible at the neck. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait, reading FRIDERIC • V • D • G • DAN • NOR • V • G • REX •, abbreviating his full royal title as King of Denmark, Norway, the Wends and the Goths by the Grace of God. The coin's edge is finely milled. |
