Obverse description The obverse features the crowned royal cipher of Christian VII at center, comprising an elaborate interlaced 'C7' monogram rendered in a bold, decorative script and surmounted by a royal crown with arched bands and orb finial. The monogram occupies the majority of the central field, with fine detail in the interlacing. A circular legend surrounds the device, separated from the coin's milled border by a plain inner rim. Dot stops divide the abbreviated Latin titulature. The overall style is characteristic of late 18th-century Danish milled coinage.
