Obverse description Central field features the elaborate interlaced royal cypher of Christian VI, composed of two intertwined crowned 'C' letters forming a mirror-image monogram, rendered in high relief with elegant calligraphic detail. The monogram is surmounted by a large royal crown with cross finial and jewelled band, occupying the upper portion of the field. A circular legend in Latin runs along the periphery, divided at the top by the crown, reading D·G·REX·DAN· on the left and NORV·VAN·G· on the right, abbreviated from the full royal title. The coin exhibits a well-defined milled edge and a smooth inner field characteristic of the milled coinage of the Copenhagen mint. The overall design is typical of the restrained baroque style prevalent in Danish royal coinage of the early eighteenth century.
