| Additional information |
Struck to commemorate the millennial celebration of Harald Fairhair's unification of Norway, held at Haraldshaugen in 1872, this pattern was never approved for circulation. Carl XV died the following year, and the skilling denomination itself was abolished entirely when Norway adopted the krone system in 1875, making this piece doubly obsolete before it could have entered commerce under any circumstances.
Rønning records only a handful of confirmed examples.
