Reverse description Within a raised inner circle, the arms-bearing stag of Stolberg, passant to the left, is depicted standing before a tall crowned column surmounted by a cross. The column rests upon a square pedestal bearing the initial S. The scene alludes to the county's mining heritage. Encircling the inner field, a continuous German-language legend reads around the periphery within the outer border.
