Reverse description A tall palm tree standing on a small island, flanked by two sailing ships on either side within an inner circle, evoking the ducal emblem associated with the Palmbaumgulden issue. A Latin motto legend encircles the central design, reading EX DURIS GLORIA, with the denomination XXIIII MARIENGROS and the date 1675 incorporated into the outer legend. The reverse composition reflects the emblematic and impresa tradition popular among 17th-century German princes. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border.
