Reverse description Full-length figure of the Wild Man (Wildman or Woodsman), a traditional heraldic symbol of Brunswick, standing facing forward on a grassy ground, holding an uprooted tree or club in his right hand and a pine branch in his left, his body covered in foliage. The denomination numeral 24 appears to the left of the figure in the field. Below the Wildman in the exergue, the inscription FEINSILBER and the mintmaster's initials C.E.S. appear on separate lines. The surrounding legend reads D.G.DVX.BRVNSVICENS.ET LVNEBVRG.
