| Obverse description | Central field displays the rampant lion of Brunswick within a wreath of laurel branches, surmounted by a ducal crown. The denomination XXIIII appears above the crown in the upper field, while the legend MAR IEN GRO SCH is arranged symmetrically to the left and right of the central device. The date is partially rendered in the lower field, with the mint mark B visible at the lower left. Small decorative rosettes punctuate the field at intervals, lending the design a balanced heraldic character consistent with late seventeenth-century German provincial coinage. |
