Obverse description Draped bust of Maximilian III Joseph, Elector of Bavaria, facing right, with curled wig tied with a ribbon at the nape. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine detail to the hair and drapery. The legend MAX. IOS. H. I. B. C. &. arcs around the upper field, divided by the bust. The coin is struck within a toothed or beaded border.

Reverse description The Bavarian arms — a quartered shield bearing the lozengy field of Bavaria and the Palatine lion, with a central escutcheon — surmounted by an electoral crown and encircled by an elaborate wreath of oak leaves and acorns. The denomination 24 appears to the lower left of the wreath and K to the lower right, indicating 24 Kreuzer. The date 1747 is inscribed in the lower exergual area, divided by a small ornament. The legend LAND MUNZ arcs across the upper field, and the whole design is contained within a beaded border.
