Obverse description Laureate head of Heracles facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic tradition with characteristic lion-skin wreath framing the hero's features. The portrait occupies the central field with bold, if somewhat worn, relief typical of late Republican-era Sicilian municipal bronze coinage. The Latin legend CAE DOM appears in the field, referencing the Roman magistrate or dedicant associated with the issue. The flan is irregular, with the design slightly off-center, consistent with hand-struck municipal production of the period.
