Obverse description Bare head of Libya facing right, rendered in a somewhat crude provincial style consistent with late Hellenistic bronze coinage of Cyrenaica. The facial features, though worn, retain the characteristic depiction of the personification of the North African region. The legend ΚΡΑ (abbreviation for Crassus) appears in the field, identifying the Roman magistrate under whose authority the coin was struck.
