Obverse description A tall candelabrum or torch motif occupies the central field, depicted in a schematic, stylized manner characteristic of late Vandal coinage. The device is flanked symmetrically on either side by laurel or olive branches whose sprigs curve inward, forming a partial wreath frame around the central emblem. The overall composition is contained within a circular border, with no legible inscription on this face. The relief is low and the striking somewhat irregular, consistent with the hammered bronze coinage of the Vandal administration at Carthage.
