Obverse description The Bremen key — the heraldic symbol of the Free City of Bremen — depicted inverted (bow uppermost), centrally placed in the field with the ornate rectangular bow featuring an interlaced geometric design at the top. The date is split to either side of the key's shaft, with the first two digits to the left and the last two to the right. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner border running along the coin's periphery.
