Obverse description The obverse is framed by an ornate scrollwork border in dark ink with decorative corner flourishes. A central vignette presents a letterpress view of the Dülmen Rathaus (town hall) square, with a fountain in the foreground and a church spire visible at right; the caption 'Dülmen Rathaus' appears in red Fraktur script above the vignette. The denomination '2 1/2 Mark' is set in bold Gothic numerals in cartouches at left and right, with the fractional figure rendered in red, and the lower margin carries the validity clause and facsimile signatures of the Magistrat dated 1 December 1921.
