Obverse description Portrait of President Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in three-quarter view occupies the right portion of the note, rendered in intaglio against a finely engraved green guilloche underprint. The denomination '2 1/2' appears in large numerals at upper centre, with the Turkish text 'IKI BUCUK TÜRK LIRASI' below. The serial number and series designation appear twice, flanking a central vignette, with the issuing authority legend across the top panel and a legal clause inscription in smaller text at centre.

A large blank oval at right is reserved for a watermark or stamp area. The bank name appears in two lines at the top, with the denomination repeated in the lower margin and in the four corners.
