Reverse description A gracefully curved wheat ear sweeps around the upper right of the central perforation, its stem and leaves arching in a naturalistic manner across the field. The denomination '2 1/2' is prominently displayed to the left of the central hole, with the currency designation 'KURUŞ' inscribed in a straight legend at the bottom of the field. The composition of the wheat motif and denomination are symmetrically balanced around the central annular opening, reflecting the agricultural symbolism common to Turkish Republican coinage of the mid-twentieth century.
