| Obverse description | Left-facing effigy of Queen Wilhelmina, rendered in high relief with finely detailed coiffure swept upward and pinned at the crown of the head, with loose curls falling to the nape of the neck. The Queen's truncated bust is unadorned, with naturalistic modelling of facial features characteristic of the early twentieth-century Dutch engraving tradition. The encircling legend reads WILHELMINA KONINGIN DER NEDERLANDEN, running from lower left to lower right along the beaded inner border. A small mintmaster's privy mark appears at the base of the truncation. |
