| Reverse description | The reverse features a highly detailed depiction of a traditional arrecada, the characteristic crescent-shaped filigree earring from Viana do Castelo, rendered in fine relief at the center of the field. The earring displays its distinctive hook at the top, paired pendant drops, and an elaborate lower crescent adorned with granulation, floral motifs, and filigree lacework in the traditional Minho goldsmithing style. The circular legend ARRECADAS DE VIANA DO CASTELO runs along the periphery, reading clockwise from the lower left to the lower right. A small raised dot serves as a punctuation stop at the base of the legend. The design is framed by a beaded border consistent with the obverse. |
