Obverse description Bare-headed effigy of Victor Amadeus III facing left, rendered in high relief with finely detailed flowing wig dressed with a large bow at the nape of the neck, characteristic of late 18th-century court fashion. The portrait occupies the central field and displays strong facial modelling in the neoclassical engraving style typical of the Turin Mint. The circumferential legend reads VIC AM D G REX SARDINIAE, separated by pellets, running from the lower left around the upper rim. The date 1786 is placed in the exergue below the truncation of the bust.
