Obverse description The crowned shield of the Netherlands Antilles coat of arms occupies the central field, displaying six stars arranged in two rows of three on a plain escutcheon, surmounted by a royal crown. Flanking the shield are two small privy marks. A flowing ribbon below the shield bears the Latin motto LIBERTATE UNANIMUS in incuse lettering. The date 1969 appears in the lower field beneath the ribbon, while the legend NEDERLANDSE ANTILLEN curves along the upper and right periphery.
