Obverse description The Polish state eagle — the crowned white eagle with wings displayed, head turned to the right, and detailed feather work — occupies the central field. The denomination '2000' appears in large numerals at the bottom of the coin, flanked by the abbreviation 'ZŁ' on each side. The date '1980' is divided across the lower portion of the field, with '19' to the left and '80' to the right of the eagle. The circular legend 'POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA' runs along the upper periphery, separated by bullet points. The design was engraved by Stanisława Wątróbska-Frindt.
