| Obverse description | The Polish state eagle displayed in high relief occupies the center of the field, rendered in the socialist heraldic style of the Polish People's Republic, with wings spread and head turned to the right, lacking the crown that characterized the pre-communist design. The date 1979 is divided by the eagle's legs, with '19' to the left and '79' to the right. The denomination 2000 ZŁ appears in large numerals along the lower portion of the field, flanked by the 'ZŁ' abbreviation on either side. The circular legend POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA runs along the upper periphery, separated by dot stops. The overall design is engraved by Stanisława Wątróbska-Frindt. |
