| Obverse description | The Polish state eagle displayed in high relief at center, with wings spread and head turned to the right, rendered in the socialist heraldic style without a crown. The circular legend reads POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA flanking the eagle along the upper periphery, with the date 19-79 divided to either side of the eagle's body and the denomination ZŁ 2000 ZŁ prominently displayed in large numerals at the base of the field.
