| Obverse description | The obverse displays the national emblem of the People's Republic of China centrally positioned within an ornate decorative border of traditional Chinese auspicious cloud and floral motifs rendered in high relief. The emblem features Tiananmen Gate surmounted by five stars, encircled by ears of grain and a cogwheel, all struck in polished proof finish against the fine gold field.
