| Obverse description | The obverse features a frontal view of the Temple of Heaven (Tiantan) in Beijing, rendered in fine detail with its characteristic triple-eaved circular hall set upon a tiered marble terrace. The national inscription 中华人民共和国 (People's Republic of China) arcs vertically along the left and right borders of the coin in incuse Chinese characters. The date 2022 appears in the lower field beneath the temple, flanked by decorative elements. The overall composition is executed in high-relief proof finish against a mirror-polished field. |
