| Obverse description | Central field features two confronted rats flanking a large diamond-shaped Chinese seal character, surrounded by stylized lotus blossoms, cloud scrolls, and foliate ornaments in a traditional East Asian decorative composition. The Coat of Arms of Uganda is prominently displayed at the top of the field, between the two rats. The circular legend 'BANK OF UGANDA' arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination '2000 SHILLINGS' curves along the lower periphery, both in raised Latin lettering. |
