Obverse description The Ugandan coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield supported by a kob antelope to the left and a grey crowned crane to the right, with crossed spears behind the shield. The shield bears the national sun symbol above and a traditional drum below, flanked by flora at the base. A scroll beneath the supporters carries the national motto in the legend FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY. The issuer legend BANK OF UGANDA arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 2000 SHILLINGS is inscribed along the lower periphery, all rendered against a deeply mirrored proof field.
