| Obverse description | The obverse features the coat of arms of Uganda at center, depicting a shield supported by a kob antelope to the left and a grey crowned crane to the right, with a representation of the River Nile and the sun above the shield. Part of Uganda's early-2000s wave of celebrity and sports-themed legal tender issues, this coin was produced to capitalize on Nedvěd's 2003 Ballon d'Or — the peak of a career built largely at Juventus following his 2001 transfer from Lazio. Uganda had no meaningful connection to Czech football; these were straightforward numismatic-market products sold to collectors, never intended to circulate in Kampala.
