| Obverse description | Effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, wearing the George IV State Diadem, after the fourth definitive portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, whose initials IRB appear below the truncation. The Ugandan coat of arms, featuring a crested crane and kob antelope supporting a shield with a drum, is depicted above the effigy. The cat is set against a vibrant background of large Chinese characters reading 財寶 and 招進, rendered in bold red, yellow and blue decorative strokes. The legend ONE OUNCE SILVER .999 arcs along the upper left rim, the date 2002 appears at the right, and the mint mark FIM is inscribed at the bottom of the field.
