Obverse description The national coat of arms of Uganda is depicted centrally, featuring a shield supported by a Ugandan kob antelope on the left and a grey crowned crane on the right, with the national motto on a scroll in the exergue. The year of issue '20 06' is split flanking the shield in the field. The legend 'BANK OF UGANDA' arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination '2000 SHILLINGS' is inscribed along the lower periphery. The design is surrounded by a beaded border.
